Bio:
I will receive my Ph.D. in Computer Science from FIU in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Leonardo Bobadilla funded by CAPES‘s Science without Borders fellowship.  I served as a Professor in the Mathematics Department at UFLA in 2014 and worked as a researcher at the Construction and Biosystems Ambience Laboratory from 2010 to 2014. I received my M.S. in Systems Engineering in 2014 and my B.S. in Computer Science in 2012 from UFLA. I am co-founder of Dez Imobiliaria, Ltda, a real state company in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Research Interests:
I study Underwater Robotics, Motion Planning, STEM Outreach, Equity in STEM Education, Data Analysis, Mathematical Modeling and Artificial Intelligence. Key problems I have addressed so far include: localization and navigation of underwater robots in GPS-denied environments, analysis of the spatio-temporal dynamics of the ocean, persistent monitoring of the ocean using drifters, and artificial intelligence models applied to agriculture and welfare of poultry.
